Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Dan :)
I’ve been planning parties for family and friends for years: birthdays, going-away parties, and everything in between. But I never set out to make it a career. That shifted with my own wedding, a weekend that was also a Fourth of July celebration and my 30th birthday. Two days before it began, our coordinator canceled, so I ran the whole thing myself (with the help of some incredible friends and family)!
Looking back, my favorite part wasn’t the flowers or the food. It was that the entire weekend felt unmistakably us, just like every celebration I’d planned before it. That was the moment I realized this wasn’t just something I loved doing for the people in my life; it was something I could do for others.
That’s what inspired Actually Us. Since then, I’ve started the business and have been lucky enough to plan events for clients. I have loved creating celebrations that don’t just look beautiful, but feel authentic to the people they’re for. I’d love to help create one that feels authentically you!
